Albert LEE

Albert Lee is one of Hong Kong’s most experienced and versatile film executives. Lee began his film career in 1979 at Golden Harvest and for 21 years was an integral part of the team that produced, distributed, and promoted films from Hong Kong’s cinematic golden age. Since joining Emperor Motion Pictures in 2003, Lee helped to establish the company as one of Asia’s most prominent and active production and distribution entities, producing more than 20 films during his 15-year tenure. Lee has served on juries for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Venice Film Festival, Udine Far East Film Festival and many more. In November 2018, he became Executive Director of the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
JANG Young-nam

After majoring in Theater at Kaywon High School of Arts and Seoul Institute of the Arts, Jang Young-nam debuted as a stage actress in 1995. With her stage experience from her days at theater companies, she is now one of the most well-established actresses in both TV and film. She was awarded Best Actress at the 38th Dong-A Play Award for Romeo and Juliet (2002) and started working in film in 2004 with Someone Special. Since then, she has won a number of awards such as Best Actress for Azooma (2013) at the Irvine International Film Festival and Best Supporting Actress for A Werewolf Boy (2013) at the Buil Film Awards as well as the Dae Jong Film Awards. More recent works include Ode to My Father (2014), Confidential Assignment (2017), and Innocent Witness (2019), for which she received wide acclaim. She will also appear in Hero, Seobok, and Firefighter.
SEO Mi Ae

Ever since her debut in 1994 with 30 Ways to Kill a Husband, for which she received the New Spring Literary Award, Seo Mi ae has been the writer of numerous thriller novels, TV shows, and films. She was the recipient of the 2009 Grand Prize in Korean Mystery Literature for her novel The Doll's Garden. Another one of her novels, Good Night Mom has been translated and published in 13 countries including the US, France, and Germany. Apart from writing a handful of TV shows, she has also written screenplays for films such as My Beautiful Girl, Mari (2001), Kiss (2007) and Her Own Technique (2007).
JUNG Bum-shik

Jung Bum-shik made his directorial debut with horror film Epitaph in 2007, for which he won Best New Director at the Director’s Cut Awards, Busan Film Critics Association Awards, and Korean Association of Film Critics Awards. He went on to direct the Horror Stories series and Casa Amor; Exclusive for Ladies (2014). He was credited to have revived the Korean horror film scene with his found footage horror film Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018). Most recently, he has written the screenplay for Forbidden Dream (2019), and launched a horror label called UNPA studios.

UM Hye Jung

Um Hye Jung obtained a Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography (Lighting) at the School of Film, TV & Multimedia at Korea National University of Arts. Starting with the short film , she has been the director of photography for a number of films including, I Can Fly to You But You… (2001), Dust (2003) Fingerprint (2004), The Rabbit (2008), Modern Family - E.D.571 (2012) Blue Beard (2017). Most recently, she was in charge of the cinematography for the Netflix original series Extracurricular (2020), which has evoked a heated response from global audience. She has also directed the short film Home Sweet Home (2004) and is currently a lecturer for Cinematography at the Korean National University of Arts, Chung-Ang University, and Dankook University.
JANG Kunjae

Jang Kunjae studied cinematography at the Korean Academy of Film Arts. He made three features Eighteen (2009), Sleepless Night (2012) and A Midsummer's Fantasia (2014). His works have won awards in many major categories of various international film festivals. Recently, he produced Shin Dongmin's debut feature film Mom's Song (2020). Jang lectured filmmaking for the Korean Academy of Film Arts for many years, and also has been teaching as a faculty for the Film Department at the Yongin University since 2012.
Pierce CONRAN

Based in Seoul since 2012, Conran is a film critic, an editor for the Korean Film Council’s English website KoBiz, and the Korea Executive of international production company and sales agent XYZ Films. In 2014, Conran founded the company 2Mr Films with Korean filmmaker Lee Sang-woo to produce films including Dear Dictator and I am Trash, as well as a segment in the omnibus Deathcember. Conran also penned the screenplay for the award-winning project Cannibal Granny. Currently, he is a programming advisor for the Fribourg International Film Festival and Fantastic Fest, as well as a regular featured critic on Arirang TV, KBS Radio, and TBS Radio.

KANG Kuk Hyun

Kang Kuk Hyun received a BA and MFA in Cinematography at the Korea National University of Arts. After building experience on the camera crew, he became the director of photography for films such as Stateless Things (2011), Futureless Things (2013), The Shameless (2015), One-Line (2017), Miss Baek (2018), and House of Hummingbird (2018). He has been invited and praised for his cinematography at a variety of film festivals around the world, including the Cannes Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and many more. He continues to capture the stories of those who have been pushed to the outskirts of life, away from the center.
KIM Seyoon

After writing for the film magazine, FILM 2.0, he went on to work as a writer for the TV show, Let’s Go Video Travel (MBC), and radio show, Lee Ju Yeon’s Cinema Music (MBC). In 2016, he worked at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film festival and was in charge of programming shorts as well as films from Central and South America. For the past 13 years, he has been writing columns on films for the news magazine, Sisa IN. A writer and a DJ on the MBC radio show, FM Cinema Music, It’s Kim Se Yoon, he strongly believes that only the most “fantastic” films can make life “cinematic”.
LEE Minji

Lee Minji debuted in 2009 with Nineteen in the 21st Century. Her big break came with the hit series, Reply 1988 (2015), but not before she became a well-established star in the independent scene with her various roles in films such as End of Animal (2011), The Fish is Mute (2012), and Safe (2013). Her portrayal in Jane (2017) received wide acclaim and helped her win Actress of the Year at the 21st BIFF as well as Best Actress at the 5th Wildflower Film Awards. She has continued to expand her spectrum with works such as 100 Days My Prince (2018) and My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2: Crime and Punishment (2019).

JO Ji Hoon

Ji Hoon Jo had worked for Jeonju IFF as a program coordinator and a programmer from 2001 to 2012. He was one of the producers of Jeonju Digital Project and planned and launched Jeonju Project Market during that time. Also, he had worked for Asian Documentary Project Market Docs Port Incheon as a foundering member and producer from 2014 to 2018. And he was also a jury of about 20 film festivals. Now, He is working for Muju Film Festival in South Korea as a Vice festival director and programmer, Warsaw Film Festival as senior programme advisor and Documentary web magazine DOCKING as one of the editors.
LEE Sang Hoon

A specialist in the field of cinema and audiovisual arts, Lee is the Head Programmer at the Busan International Short Film Festival. He studied Cinema at École supérieure d'études cinématographiques (ESEC) in Paris and holds a PhD in Literature. He worked as the Chief Programmer at the Korean Film Festival in Paris (FFCF) for two years from 2006 to 2008. Currently, he is a lecturer in Cinema and French Culture at the Chonnam National University.
CHO HyeYoung

HyeYoung Cho is a film critic, lecturer and film festival programmer based in Seoul. She received her PhD in film theory from the graduate school of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film at Chung-Ang University, Seoul and worked as a programmer for film festivals including the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival, Seoul Eco Film Festivals and Seoul International New Media Festival. She is the co-author of the publications, Fantasy without the Origin, History Has Failed Us, but No Matter-The Korean Pavilion of the 58th Venice Biennale, Girls: K-pop, Screen, Square, Korean Documentary Film Today, 120 Years of French Women’s Cinema Film, Ida Lupino and so on.
