Synopsis

Once upon a beast is a story of a 12 year’s old little girl living in a convent. Laurence is taken in an authoritarian world that dictates how to live in society and refrains the intellectual liberty. In this universe where it is very hard to see the limits between the reality and the dreams.

Elisabeth DESBIENS

Montreal based director, Desbiens studied dance and cinema. Her films screened at many film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand. Once Upon a Beast , adapted from a poem received the prestigious prize SODEC/SARTEC. Presently, she is in a writing process for her next movie.
