Stake Land

Jim MICKLE

USA2010 98min HD Colot Asian Premiere

Synopsis

When an epidemic of vampirism strikes, humans run from feral beasts. Cities are tombs and survivors are scared of nightfall. When his family is slaughtered, young Martin is taken under the wing of a grizzled, wayward hunter. He takes Martin on a journey, searching for a better place. In comparisont to a series of vampire films and TV shows on now a days that describe vampires way too romantic, Stake Land takes up apocalyptic mood and conventions of  vampire, zombie films but in a  delicate way by accepting a particular view of teenage character.
