Synopsis

Do you remember fake trailers inserted into Quentin Tarantino"s Death Proof? Some of the trailers have transformed into a feature-leangth movie and one of them is - you got it - A Hobo with a Shotgun. The story begins when a train pulls into the station. A Hobo jumps from a freight car, hoping for a fresh start in a new city. But he finds himself trapped in trapped in an urban hell. This is a world where criminals rule the streets. Amidst the chaos, the Hobo comes across a pawn shop window displaying a second hand lawn mower. He dreams of making the city a beautiful place and starting a new life for himself. But as the brutality continues to rage around him, he realizes the only way to make a different in this town is with that gun - a shotgun hanging above the lawn mower - in his hand and two shells in its chamber. A well-made Grindhouse spinoff starring Rutger Hauer as the Hobo.

Jason EISENER

Canadian filmmaker Jason Eisener made his directorial debut with the Canuxploitation vigilante epic, Hobo with a Shotgun (2011), directed, co-write and edited his second feature film, Kids vs.Aliens (2022). It was inspired by his own childhood and shot on location near his hometown in Nova Scotia. His Christmas horror short Treevenge (2009) got an honorable mention at the 2009 Sundance.
