Synopsis

10 filmmaking geniuses portray the world of the literary magnate, Soseki Natsume’s short stories series "TEN NIGHTS OF DREAMS", by making 10-minutes’ image of animation, monochrome films, or dances for each story. Their images all represent a dream-like, mysterious world….

Diretor

SHIMIZU Takash

Born in 1972 in Japan. SHIMIZU worked as a writer and director of Ju-on and Ju-on 2 . In 2001, he  directed and written Ju-on: The Grudge in 2002. After the Ring series, Ju-on: The Grudge has brought forth a new trend in Japanese horror. In 2003,Ju-on: The Grudge 2 become another blockbuster hit in Japan. It has sold and released in many countries worldwide.

JISSOJI Akio

Born in Japan, 1937. He directed Ultraman (1979), Summer of Ubume (2005), Rampo Jigoku (2005).

ICHIKAWA Kon

Studying animation after graduating from Tokyo University, ICHIKAWA Kon debuted as a director with the puppet show film A Girl of Dojo Temple in 1946. He also worked as an assistant director for KUROSAWA Akira for The Throne of Blood and The Seven Samurai>. His major works include Enjo(1958), Odd Obsession (1959), and Tokyo Olympiad  which won the International Critics Grand Prize in the Cannes Film Festival in 1965

SHIMIZU Atsushi

Born in Tokyo. In 2000, he graduated Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Nihon University. He directed Kazuo Umezu' Horror Theater(2005).

MATSUO Suzuki

Born in 1962. Multi-talented actor, writer, playwriter and novelist, Matsuo Suzuki makes his directorial debut with the quirky romantic comedy Otakus in Love (2004).

AMANO Yoshitaka

AMANO Yoshitaka is an fantasy illustrator and animation character designer. He designed characters for several TV series and worked for "Andromeda" as VFX creater.

KAWAHARA Shimmei

KAWAHARA Shimmei has made his presence known in the video game "Final Fantasy" as key-visual designer.

YAMASHITA Nobuhiro

Born in Aichi, 1976. One of the most promising directors in Japan. First feature film, Hazy Life(1999) was screened at many international film festivals. Second feature No One's Ark(2002) was acclaimed as ‘If Jim Jarmusch were reincarnated as a Japanese twenty something, NO ONE'S ARK is what he would probably make’ (Variety).

NISHIKAWA Miwa

NISHIKAWA Miwa is a Japanese director. KOREEDA Hirokazu produced her feature film Wild Berries(2002) after she worked as an assistant director on his Distance.

YAMAGUCHI Yudai

YAMAGUCHI Yudai has worked as an assistant director for KITAMURA Ryuhei for several years and has written the screenplays for and directed by KITAMURA. Battlefield Stadium is YAMAGUCHI"s feature directorial debut

TOYOSHIMA Keisuke

Studied Film Making in the American Film Institute, he wrote several screenplays for famous directors. He is well known for bizarre horror films such as Unholy Women (2006) and Ghost vs. Alien (2007), which he co-directed with SHIMIZU Takashi of Ju-On series. With Softboys he's challenging to make a fresh high school drama.
