Synopsis

Twenty-seven-year-old Yuji moved to Tokyo with dreams of becoming an actor but his life is stalled. One day he remembers his larger-than-life friend Sasaki after meeting up with high school buddy Toda. Inspired by a story from actor Hosokawa Gaku's high school days, Sasaki in My Mind looks head-on at adolescent sparkle and the pathos of bygone days

Diretor

UCHIYAMA Takuya

Born in Niigata, in 1992. After graduating from high school, Uchiyama entered Bunka Fashion College. Although he began his career as a stylist while in school, he got interested in films and later studied film under director Nakano Ryota. In 2016, he made his directorial debut with Vanitas, which won the PFF Audience Award. His other works include music videos for King Gnu and the middle-length film Blue Forest(2018). Sasaki in My Mind is his first feature film.
