  • KIM Sung-soo

    KIM Sung-soo

    Majored in English at Sejong University and obtained his master degree in Film Studies at Dongguk University. After experiencing the assistant director of Park Gwang Su’s movies Black Republic (1990) and Berlin Report (1991), he directed a 16mm short movie Dead End(1993) and debuted with Run Away (1995). In 1997, he directed Beat(1997) which brought a phenomenal success and made his name known. He made several blockbuster movies such as City of The Rising Sun (1998), The Warriors (2001), The Flu (2013), and is a director of standing.

  • JO Min-soo

    JO Min-soo

    Debuted as a soap-opera actress of KBS(Korea Broadcasting System), she has continued her career in various movies and TV drama series. She won the Best Actress of Fantasporto for Pieta (2012), a Venice-winning film directed by Kim Ki Duk. In the same year, she was also chosen as an honorary ambassador for Daejong Film Awards. In early 2014, she acted joyful and mellowed character for Venus Talk where she had co-star with top Korean actresses Moon Sori and Um Junghwa, reaching the summit of her career.

    Erik MATTI

    He started his career with movies and TV commercials. He has been working as a writer, producer, actor and director. He earned the reputation as a master of genre and became a one of the most famous directors of Philippines with his major works include The Arrival (2010) and Tik Tik (2012). Recently he won two awards last year, Jury’s Choice Award and Best Actor from PiFan by his action thriller On the Job (2013).

    Tom DAVIA

    Tom Davia has worked almost 20 years in the entertainment industry and regularly attends film festivals and film markets worldwide scouting for material. He is the director of festivals and alternative theatrical distribution for Shoreline Entertainment, the L.A.-based international Sales, Production and Management Company. His expertise comes from an impressive variety of upper management key consulting postions at film festivals and film organizations worldwide, including the Sundance Film Festival, the Dubai Film Festival, and many others.

  • Diego Marambio AVARIA

    Diego Marambio AVARIA

    Diego graduated in Cinema Production at the National School of Cinema from Argentina. After teaching production at the National School of Cinema, he started working for Ventana Sur, one the biggest Latin American films markets, as well as for international affairs of the Argentina National Film Institute. Last year he took charge of the production of Blood Window, a fantastic film market taking place during Ventana Sur. Since Latin American cinema is gaining in popularity around the world, Diego focuses his full attention on efforts at production and distribution of South American genre movies.

  • Sabrina BARACHETTI

    Sabrina BARACHETTI

    Sabrina Baracetti from Udine studied in Cinema History. She contributes movie and music articles for numerous film magazines as a cinema scholar and was also hosting a radio program. She is a chairman of the Udine Far East Film Festival since 1999 to the preset and also compiled the cinema dictionary written by Paolo Mereghetti. She is well known in Korea as an Asian film expert.

  • Annick MAHNERT

    Annick MAHNERT

    Annick Mahnert studied film production at the NYFA. She went on to work in distribution and programming at 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers and many other major productions. She joined the sales agency Celluloid Dreams, then working as a freelance acquisitions consultant and festival programmer. Since 2013, she was hired as foreign representative for the market and festivals department at Swill Films to promote the Swiss filmmaking. She currently serves as an executive producer on Gustavo Hernandez’s new film.

  • LEE Shin-ho

    LEE Shin-ho

    LEE Shin-ho received his BFA in Film and Television and MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. His screenplay The Red Snow was the Grand Prize winner of The Hartley-Merrill International Screenwriting Award and The CAPE Foundation’s New Writers Award. Lee co-wrote The Chaser (2008) directed by Na Hong Jin and wrote many other screenplays. He is appointed as an arts professor at Tisch School of the Arts in New York from this fall.

    Romain ROLL

    Romain Roll is a member of the board of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation and involved in the fantastic film industry since more than 25 years. He was running the Cinenygma Luxembourg International Film Festival. He made an actor career in Paul Burrow’s Thriller Nature Morte (2007) and recently in Helene Cattet and Bruno Forzani’s The Strange Color of your Body’s Tears (2013). Since 8 years he’s been working as an independent executive producer in Luxembourg.

  • Mike HOSTENCH

    Mike HOSTENCH

    Mike Hostench is the Deputy Director of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival. He also conducts film acquisition consulting tasks through his own company. For the last ten years, he focused in writing and producing films and joint ventures with international companies. His recent projects are the creation of the Phonetastic Sitges Mobile Film Festival and several other projects designed to internationalize Sitges Festival. He contributes to produce and wrote Spanish horror movie Asmodexia (2014) which will be shown at a World Fantastic Cinema section of PiFan this year.

    Marjan RIAHI

    Marjan Riahi studied Cinema Directing at Iranian Young Cinema Society. Founder & Manager of Short Film News, the first news network on short films and documentaries in Iran & Asia(http://en.shortfilmnews.com). Directed a documentary called Iranian Ninja (2014) in 2014, and this documentary is the first official representative of Iranian Cinema in short documentary competition section in Hot Docs 2014. She’s participated in numerous film festivals as a jury.

  • Riccardo GELLI

    Riccardo GELLI

    He founded Florence Korea Film Fest in Italy, which is having 12th edition in 2014. He promotes Korean cinema by cooperating with major festivals in Korea, such as Busan International Film Festival, Jeonju International Film Festival as well as PiFan. To honor his contribution, he received a 14th Busan International Film Festival Korean Cinema Award in 2011.

  • KIM Min-ki

    KIM Min-ki

    Studied Film Production at Ecole Superieure Libre d'Etudes Cinematographiques(ESEC). He established FINE WORKS Inc. in 2006 which produced Hearty Paws, Two Faces of My Girlfriend, The perfect Couple, Champ and Miracle in Cell No.7. Miracle in Cell No.7 was the most successful film of the year and became the winner of The Korean Culture Entertaining Awards and The Blue Dragon Awards, and Dae Jong Film Awards. He is the executive producer of Roaring Currents, scheduled to be released this July, and the festival director of the second Animal Film Festival in Suncheon, to be held in this August.

    EO Il-seon

    Eo Il-seon was invited to Cannes, Deauville, Montreal, Toronto, Rotterdam, Berlin, and many other international film festivals with his first film Plastic Tree (2002). He won the grand prize at International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg in 2013. He wrote and directed 3D animation Shooting Star (2011) and a delicate drama Between (2012). Between went into the competition of Mitak Film Festival. Currently he is a professor of Film Studies at Cheongju University.

  • KIM Young

    KIM Young

    Kim Young is a president of MIRU Puctures and a film producer. She co-produced A Tale of Two Sisters (2003), a legendary Korean horror directed by Kim Jee Woon, and Twentidentity (2004) directed by various Korean directors such as Bong Joon Ho, Kim Tae Yong and Min Kyoo Dong. She was a team leader of CJ CGV Movie Collage, a member of the executive committee at PiFan and Seoul International Youth Film Festival, and also worked for APM of Busan International Film Festival. She is currently taking a charge of executive committee at International Women’s Film Festival in Seoul.
