Synopsis

A film entailing the underground world with “the soil” as its motif. It is like touring hell through footage that has an astounding structure that connects 80 scenes into one cut.

Program Note

A girl opens a forest tomb. This subterranean space reveals the stories of each of the fifty gods, ranging from melodrama, horror, gangster, and thriller. It is noteworthy that all of them are connected by a single cut. The work, whose title is based on the motif of “earth”, but actually means “Naraka” or “hell” in Buddhism, completes the “structure of astonishment.” (HONG Sanghyun)
