Program Note

This short film, which begins with a woman living alone on a remote planet, is a story that anyone who has experienced lockdown due to the COVID-19 will be able to relate to. The protagonist becomes increasingly obsessed as she watches a strange life form suddenly appear in her isolated space and mimic her actions, gradually becoming assimilated. What is most remarkable is the unconventional color grading and exceptional cinematography, which create an otherworldly atmosphere, transcending the realm of artistry. (Kristin JI)
