Good Boy

UK20229min Korean Premiere

Synopsis

Luna reluctantly agrees to a dog sitting job, motivated by her unreliable friend Jay's insistence. Little does she know, this seemingly simple task throws her into a deteriorating suburban house occupied by a manic couple who abruptly flee like fugitives. Left alone in the house, Luna tries to form a connection with their small Pomeranian, only to realize that the adorable pet is, in fact, a ruthless psychopath with a sinister desire to kill her.

Program Note

When you search for the characteristics of a Pomeranian, the dog, you’ll find that they have a tendency to think of themselves as large, despite being small. They are lively and mischievous, and have strong guarding instincts and independence, and they can be feisty. The protagonist, who comes to work as a dog sitter, is left alone in the house with this adorable dog without knowing its dual nature. This short film creates tension, as if watching a horror version of Home Alone, and delivers a witty message that one should not be deceived by appearances. (Kristin JI)
