Synopsis

You may have heard it before that a moment can change your life. As if it’s possible to point to single instance when things changed. However, for Jakob, there is just a myriad of memories piled up as if everything is happening at once.

Program Note

This short film, presented in the form of an essay, starts with the protagonist’s narration and follows a flow of fragmented memories. The director contemplates how humans can fully remember a single moment, acknowledging that it can be idealized or distorted. Utilizing split screens, the film lists the protagonist’s past in fragmented sequences, calmly depicting how small moments come together to produce certain outcomes. (Kristin JI)
