Program Note

During the pandemic, there were frequent reports of a surge in racial discrimination incidents worldwide. If everyday life, which used to be ordinary, becomes disrupted and the gaze of those around us becomes increasingly uncomfortable, even leading to rude behavior, the psychological pressure would be unbearable. Bahar Pars, an Iranian director and actor, pinches at these prevailing discriminatory acts through this work, prompting us to reflect on the world in which we currently live. (Kristin JI)
