“Art the Clown” is back with a vengeance, as he rises from the dead in time for Halloween. Now with a sidekick, Emily, he seeks out his victims, including siblings Sienna and Jonathan, whose father warned about “the killer clown” before he passed. Armed with a sword from their dad, the siblings must fight the evil force and protect those around them.
A faithful homage to the 70s and 80s grindhouse horror slasher, Terrifier 2 is a success story from the Indiegogo campaign, reaching over 400% of its initial goal, as the film grossed over 15 million USD on a 250,000 USD budget. Once again, Damien Leone created all the graphic details and practical gore effects, further enhancing Art’s homicidal rage with black humor. This film is not for everyone, and I’d recommend not eating before the screening, but the result is a pure delight for all hardcore slasher fans. This is a horror franchise to be reckoned with.
