Program Note

In the desolate countryside, a young drifter is haunted by recurrent images of his dreams and visions. When a black wolf-dog from one of his sketches materializes, he follows it to a mysterious farmhouse, where he meets an old medicine woman. Mesmerized by the likeness of the place to the haunting visions of his dreams, he accepts the medicine woman’s offer of abode and employment.
