Program Note

Yorgos Lanthimos’s short film Nimic provides a provocative and unfamiliar experience. Starting with a strong cello melody, the film tells the story of a cellist living in New York who runs into a stranger in a subway. Throughout the 12-minute running time, Lanthimos’ unique style shines through despite the lighter and more refined topic compared to his previous works. Matt Dillon acts as the cellist who gets into trouble. (Gina KANG)
