Program Note

Two space bounty hunters take down a renegade spaceship on the run and discover an A.I. in a form of beautiful young woman trying to free itself from the ruins like a soul leaving a body. Chase is on through space as these hunters seek after A.I., trying to find out the answer to the phenomenon they witnessed. They are in for quite a surprise, not realizing the origin and the challenges from this ‘naked’ A.I. and its cohorts.

From the minds of Raphael Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard, aka Seth Ickerman, come something extraordinary; a visually striking musical journey called Blood Machines. A brilliant tribute to 80s sci-fi films and synthesizer music, this is a sequel to duo’s ground-breaking Turbo Killer for a French artist Carpenter Brut. The film effectively combines sci-fi elements with sublime religious symbolism, taking us on a heck of spiritual ride. This is a fruitful labor of a Kickstarter campaign, resulting in bombastic psychedelic trip that will thrill and chill all sci-fi fans. (Jongsuk Thomas NAM)
