Program Note
Miok is a preacher of a religious sect called “Daybreak church”. Even after the sect leader is jailed, Miok still teaches the doctrines that the leader is the truth and you can get close to him through levitation. To Miok, who has lived her whole life inside the fence of the Prayer Service, the world outside is meaningless. This grotesque short film shows the end of a distorted belief that devastated one person’s mind. Levitation received support from BIFAN. (MO Eun-young)
