Program Note

Kyoung is looking after his wife Ryeon, who is paralyzed from a disease, when he hears of a cure at a medicinal herb shop; the secret is to eat human legs. He commits murder for her, and she does eat some leg parts. People believe that they sacrifice themselves for their loved ones, but it is often the case that the sacrifice is more to do with satisfaction of their own desires. Actress Joo Yerin performs brilliantly in showing how Ryeon gradually changes over time. (BAEK Jaeho)

KIM Lok-kyoung is born in 1982, he makes several short films including not waving not drowning. He made his long film Festival in 2020 and Jinju's Pearl is second long film which is coming up very soon.
