In the year 2020, a small number of Alien Research Club members gather in underground bunkers, having survived the invasion of yellow liquid aliens. Chaos ensues when an alien that had infiltrated somebody gets into the body of one of the members. There is a moment of desperation when they realized everyone will die if they don't find and kill the alien within 30 minutes. Who is the alien hiding in? Can the last humans be safe in the face of the alien invasion?
There is an alien here, explores a threat to all humanity by an unknown being, not in the future but here and now in 2020. The serious plot not only plays on the current pandemic frenzy, but it also delves into relationship between the majority and minorities, the mainstream and the unconventional, depicted through the relationship between the humans and the aliens in a cheerful atmosphere. The story takes place in the limited space of the bunker and without special effects, yet There is an alien here is a fun sci-fi comedy. The combination of the pleasant development of the situation, the rhythm of the film and the actors Cho Byeongkyu and Bae Nuri, all adds to the charm of this bunker comedy. (MO Eun-young)
