Soyeong, an aspiring screenwriter who still lives with her mother, finds her mother’s boyfriend Ungseop’s hair irritating. While being pressured by Ungseop to become financially independent, one day, she starts to see a ‘hairy monster’. She tries hard to prove that the horrible monster is in fact her mother’s boyfriend, but only she can see this fantasy created by her longing for her dead father and the burden of being an adult. The elaborate portrayal of the hairy creature and the development of Soyeong’s state of mind make the fantasy convincing. (Hwajung LEE)
