Synopsis
A figure of twentysomething angst, Nick Parker is struggling with life in modern day America. He is an art teacher by day, schooling seniors on the finer points of his trade. Although the job may not be incredibly fulfilling, it’s a job he will soon be forced to do without. At night, Nick seeks consolation in his own painting in the slum he rents in Brooklyn. One evening Nick is bothered by some noises from the room above. He meets Will, the tenant of said room, whose aggressive posturing makes Nick uneasy. When his landlord is found brutally murdered, Nick has his own theory of the culprit. Unfortunately, the police have a different suspect. The escalation of Nick’s mental fragility is further exacerbated by the well-meaning intrusions by his family. As a result, Nick’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic and soon he has made himself a suspect in the murder.
