  SHINN Sang-Okk

  The Chairman of Jury. Born in 1925, SHINN Sang-Okk has led an illustrious and prolific career, directing and producing numerous films and is still actively making films in L.A. Just prior to the 1945 Liberation of Korea, Shinn returned from his studies in Tokyo with a great vision of becoming a film director and worked as art director under director CHOI, In Kyu . He made his feature debut in 1952 with The Evil Night, which portrayed the tragedy of a woman who is bound to a life of prostitution as a refugee. He is said to be the first Korean director who gained prominence outside of Korea with his film To the Death which won special recognition at the Berlin International Film Festival. His lifetime collaboration with his wife and actress CHOI Eun-Hee has made a landmark in Korean film history with films like Seoung Chun-Hyang, Red Muffler and Mother and a Guest in the room of Master. It's especially meaningful this year With the emergence of and focus on Korean films in the international film community, that director SHINN joins PiFan2000 as the Chairman of the Jury.

  PARK Joong-hoon

  Born in 1964, Joong-Hoon Park made his screen debut in 1985 with Kkambo and became a national screen icon with the Two Cops series. He has acted in over 20 feature films including this year's Sundance entry, Nowhere to Hide as well as 'American Dragon' where he shared the screen with American actor, Michael Biehn. He won the Best Actor award from Festival du Film Asiatique de Deauville in 1999 for his portrayal of an obsessive homicide detective in Nowhere to Hide.

  Antoine LOPEZ

  Antoine Lopez has been working as the co-founder of Festival du Court Metrage de Clermont-Ferrand, one of the most famous short films festivals in the world since its inception in 1979. Organizing the Festival with George Bollon, another founder of the Festival, Lopez has been credited as one of the main supporters of international short film production and promotion.

  Claudio SIMONETTI

  Claudio Simonetti, composer, producer and keyboard player was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He studied piano and composition in the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. The successful collaboration with director Dario Argento, and his chart topping music career has earned him an indomitable reputation.

  Kayoko KISHIMOTO

  Born in 1960, Kayoko Kishimoto made her acting debut in 1977 on TBS and has graced both the small and big screens in Japan. She came to international recognition through her performances in Kitano Takeshi's Hana-Bi and The Summer of Kikujiro.

  KIM Ji-woon

  Ji Woon Kim emerged on the cinematic scene with his terrifically funny savage comedy The Quiet Family. He left both the audience and critics in stitches and in eager anticipation for his next project with The Foul King, his second box office smash. He gained international attention with The Tale of Two Sisters (003) which participated numerous Fantasy Film Festival. A Bitter Sweet Life 2005) shown as Korean Noir film that got a favorable criticism.

  KIM Yun-hee

  KIM Yun-hee, who was born in 1968, was the 1st woman cinematographer in Korea. Her talent can attested to in short films like Skate and Simultaneity,which both went to the Cannes Film Festival and in her feature debut Love Wind, Love Song.

  NAMGOONG Youn

  Namgoong Youn, drummer, music producer, began his music in 1987 and has produced various music projects and collaborated with many music artists. An all around entertainer, he's been active in TV, radio as well as other entertainment fields.

  SUH Jung

  Actress Suh Jung began came into the national spotlight The Isle(2000) by Kim ki duk. She began her acting career in experimental short films like Aqua Requiem.

  YIM Phil-sung

  Born in 1972, he gained international attention with his short films Brushing and Baby which participated in numerous film festivals such as the Pusan International Film Festival, the Venice International Film Festival New Territories section and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival official competition. In 2005, his first feature film Antarctic Journal got a public attention because of filming in New Zealand and got a Orient Express-Casa Asia section Best Feature Film award from Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia 2005.
