Synopsis

There is a legend here, not much different from the urban myths you may have hard in your city or your own school. As this legend has it, forty years ago a girl entered a convent and blew everyone away with a sawed-off shotgun. Everyone, that is, except for Mother Superior. She was doused with gasoline by the girl and set alight by a cigarette. Now, enter a group of college ids who break into the condemmed building in order to spray-paint their Greek letters onto it before the homecoming game. What follow is a blood-soaked night of horror and death. When all seems lost, a girl appears, ready to furnish a great deal of ass-kicking of her own. Is she here to save the college kids or destroy them? In The Convent, Mike Mendez has skillfully has rendered a film whidh laces the gore with liberal doses of campy humor and fast-paced storytelling.
