Synopsis

Kirie and Shuichi have known each other since their childhood, and are very close friends. One day Shuichi asks Kirie to elope with him. She feels delighted with his unexpected words, but he seems a little depressed.. He says he’s worried that there’s something wrong with his father, Toshio. As a matter of fact, he seems not to be in a normal condition. Toshio is now so deeply and even abnormally attached to “whirlpool” that he stops going to the office. He spends all day just for collecting any whirlpool-shaped things from all over the town and looking at them. Shuichi’s mother, Yukie, feels very uneasy about her husband’s “whirlpool collection” and finally gets rid of them. Toshio becomes furious and starts spinning his eyes like whirlpool, crying “Whirlpool doesn’t have to be a THING. I can make whirlpool out of myself.”…
