Synopsis
Glenn Standring writer and director, believes the essence of his first feature< The Irrefutable Truth About Demons > is how ‘plastic’ reality is: “We all wander around thinking that reality is what we see, that it’s film and solid, but in fack, what you believe about something alters the way you look at it.” Harry is a man who doesn’t believe in anything, especially anything that is against his sense of reality. Then some members of a cult kill his girlfriend, and now they are after him. However, as Harry tries to evade death and seek revenge, he starts to wonder if the cult members really are demons. His ally, the beautiful Benny, is just as ambiguous – is she a guardian angel, or simple insane?
< The Irrefutable Truth About Demon > is not Standring’s first movie that went to Cannes. His short, <Lenny Minute One>, won several prizes and was selected for the 1993 Short Film Competition at Cannes.
