Synopsis

A trout and a lettuce in a salad hit it off inside the food storage of a local restaurant. How will destiny play on these two who truly believe that the unity of eternal love is possible only if eaten by the same person? Though the trout man costume is somewhat grotesque, their love story cannot be seen without shedding tears. (Indeed!) After many twists and turns, they come to realize that the universe is 'one by nature' as they experience the philosophical conflict of whether being eaten by humans is 'sublimation' or simply 'ending up as shit.' The 'food/grocery' characters are the most appealing part of the film. They are exquisitely personified through cute imagination and unique costumes. Be sure to pay close attention, especially to the dialogue between a doctor and a cabbage visiting the hospital. This film's palatable dialogue is its strongest asset. It stems from the director? history of short films and past experience in theater and T.V. This was also a standout piece at other film festivals. (Jenna Ku)
