Born in 1959, acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Nakashima started his film career with his film, Bakayaro! I’m Plenty Mad in 1988. His directed films including Kamikaze Girls, Memories of Matsuko, and the critically-acclaimed Confessions which made to the final shortlist for the Best foreign Language Film category at the 83rd Academy Awards.
