He learnt filmmaking at the Zurich University for the Arts. His graduation film Nomina Domini(2000) won the Best Short Film-Foreign in the Málaga International Week of Fantastic Cinema. Cargo(2009), his first feature film he has worked on since 2001, is Swiss’s first science-fiction movie.
