Synopsis

A low-level government employee Sam often daydreams of saving a beautiful maiden. One day he is assigned a task of rectifying governments mishap, the incarceration of Mr. Harry Buttle instead of the terrorist Harry Tuttle. When Sam visits Mrs. Buttle, he discovers the very woman of his daydream. Brazil is a nightmare vision of the future, and one of the most inventive, influential, and important films of the 1980s.

He became famous as a director of the Monty Python sequels, and held a special place in people's heart with Jabberwocky(1977) and Time Bandits(1981). In 1985 he joined Hollywood and made Brazil, which became immediately a masterpiece winning the Best Director Award in LAFCA. With humor and imagination, he has actively made unique films such as The Fisher King(1991) and 12 Monkeys(1995) representing the world as a distopia.
