The hero Cooper goes through sheer adventures while his effort of saving the kingdom threatened by a terrible monster Jabberwocky. Jabberwocky is GILLIAM’s first solo directing feature, inspired by the nonsense poem ‘Jabberwocky’ from the novel ‘Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There.’ A hilarious medieval comedy that shows young Terry’s agony as director.
He became famous as a director of the Monty Python sequels, and held a special place in people's heart with Jabberwocky(1977) and Time Bandits(1981). In 1985 he joined Hollywood and made Brazil, which became immediately a masterpiece winning the Best Director Award in LAFCA. With humor and imagination, he has actively made unique films such as The Fisher King(1991) and 12 Monkeys(1995) representing the world as a distopia.
