Synopsis

1940’s Manchuria, Karate master Sasaki and Hapkido master Wang each plan to steal a case filled with the Korean independence army’s funds. At the same time, Taekwondo master Lee tries to smash them. Now the inevitable fight among the three martial arts masters begins.

He is one of Korea’s best directors who led the Korean film’s heyday in 70’s and 80’s. From the debut romantic drama The Lost Wedding Veil(1970) to the Daejong award winning historical drama General in Red(1973), and from martial arts movies to the nationwide popular erotic movies, his films are never limited to a genre. He won the ISDAP award in Venice and was selected to the Un Certain Regard in Cannes.
