Korea2003118min Color

Synopsis

After a stay in a mental institute, two sisters return home to live with their father and cruel stepmother. Not only must they deal with a frosty relationship from their stepmother, but also a string of ghostly incidents that are occurring around the house.

Program Note

In a secluded Japanese-style wooden house with grotesque ambiance, sisters Soo-yeon and Soo-mi live with their beautiful but sensitive step mother, and strange events ensue. A tale of Two Sisters is a reinterpreted version of Janghwa Hongryeon Jeon, a beautiful yet sad story about two sisters stuck in a place where life and death co-exist. (MO Eun-young)
