Synopsis

An ambitious YouTuber attempts to resurrect Sadako’s curse in order to gain more followers. When he is successful, a group of people must work together to stop it before it’s too late. Part of the Ring franchise.

Program Note

A 20th anniversary film of commemorating the origin of J horror The Ring (1998) Nakata Hideo. who made the original film, directed the film again. In the original, the curse was spread through a video, but this time it is spread through the Internet. Those who happen to catch the presence of the original, and who see it, must join forces to undo the curse. (KIM Bong-seok)

NAKATA Hideo

Born in 1961, Hideo Nakata graduated Tokyo University. Joining the Nikkatsu Studio, Nakata directed < Ghost Actress > and < Ring > which resulted in great success. < Dark Water > is his first film after he left the studio.
