Synopsis

After setting her serial killer boyfriend on fire, a paranoid delusional woman gets a job at an all-night gas station. There, her sense of delusion and reality becomes even more ambiguous, as she is threatened the first day on the job.

Program Note

Padraig Reynolds’ stylized slasher explores both PTSD and heroines of 90s horror films, with motivated characters, sleek cinematography and suspenseful ambiance, all in a remote single location setting. Exceptional cast is led by Vanessa Grasse, who convincingly portrays Mary, an ex-con with an immense trauma that may or may not be dictating her daily life in a wrong way. (Jongsuk Thomas NAM)
