Synopsis

Malena and Santiago decide to disobey their grandma and not take a nap. Little did they know the heat of the summer forest can bring much worse consequences than a simple punishment form the their grandma.

Program Note

On a hot, sunny summer afternoon, Malena and Santiago ignores her grandmother’s story that a scary monster will catch her unless she takes a nap. The film captures a mysterious story that has been orally handed down in a fantastic and frightening image and offers an excellent sense of pleasure and thrill through a production that amplifies the terror of a girl being chased.
