Synopsis

Raquel needs to pay off corrupt government officials to get her daughter back and decides to falsify a bank loan application. However, as she is collecting the money, two bank robbers show up to ruin her plan.

Program Note

Just before the urgent bank loan to save Raquel from depriving of the her daughter’s custody, she is taken hostage by Lola, the leader of the bank robbers. Raquel speaks to the negotiator over the phone for the robbers and gives an enigma-like clue to the negotiator, as a SWAT team ready to launch their attack. This crime thriller masterpiece has an intellectual battle with twists in the narrative, which sustain the tension in this touch-and-go scenario. (Ellen Y. D. KIM)

Koldo SERRA

Born in Bilbao in 1975. Working as a director, script writer, he produced his first short film, Sick of You (1993). Since then he has made several short films. After that short films SERRA directed The Spook House (2003) and it won several awards.
