Program Note

A darkly sequel to 2011’s The Woman, this unnerving film is written and directed by Pollyanna McIntosh (who also reprises her role as ‘the woman.’) A feral teenager Darlin’ - assumed as a surviving kid from 2011 film - is tamed and trained to get back to ‘civilization,’ only to discover her own voice with a help from a motley crue and tear down the manipulative church of patriarchy with vengeance.
