Synopsis

In Amsterdam, 1983. Alfred Heineken, one of the world’s wealthiest brewers, has a fateful weakness: he feels invulnerable. He and his chauffeur have been kidnapped by a band of hot-headed young men whose amateurishness keeps endangering their own plans. Rutger Hauer portrays the real life beer mogul with his charismatic presence.

He attended the Dutch Film Academy. His terminal short film, Het Nadeel van de Twijfel, made a big impression during the Dutch Film Festival and got nominated for two Gouden Kalveren. In 2003, he made his first motion picture, De Passievrucht. He is also a much sought after director of commercials.
