Program Note

The protagonist, Alper, contributes to the functioning of a justice system that punishes crimes based on emotions and actions. Recognized for his abilities within the organization, he is on the verge of achieving his dream of becoming a prosecutor. However, everything begins to unravel when a minor mistake leads to his mother's arrest. Alper's ethical compass and moral standards are shaken to the core, and doubts about the system start to take root deep within him. His once unwavering worldview—centered on ethics and justice—becomes an unsolvable maze. Through Alper's journey through this maze, the film incisively questions the significance of "memory" and "traces of existence" in human life. It is a psychological thriller that weaves the dilemma of blind pursuit of justice and ethics into elegant mise-en-scène, offering a unique exploration of human existence in a dystopian world where memory becomes the key to resistance.
