Synopsis
"No man is an island, entire of itself." The distance between us ebbs and flows like the tide—shifting, fleeting, never truly seen nor fully understood. This film presents a tapestry of human experiences, using surrealist imagery to depict six distinct islands—metaphors for the relationship between individuals and the world. Each island embodies a different struggle: a young person consumed by appearance anxiety and narcissism, an elderly hoarder clinging to possessions to fill an inner void, a woman trapped by society's rigid expectations, a dreamer paralyzed by the chasm between ideals and reality, a procrastinator unable to rescue themselves from inertia, and a perfectionist tormented by compulsions. Through their stories, we hope the audience sees a reflection of themselves, learns to embrace their own nature, and understands others—not as isolated beings, but as fragments of a greater whole. This is an all-AI film, we used midjourney, chatgpt, Luma, elevenlabs through the whole producing process.
