Program Note

In 1981, a student suicide occurs at Seoul National University, leading to the installation of insect screens in the library. These screens symbolize the bitter reality of a society that treated and monitored students like insects. The harsh atmosphere of the era, marked by the conflict between police and students, is vividly depicted through animation created by placing drawings on the floor and filming them with an 8mm camera under fluorescent lighting.
