Program Note

A gang of thieves, hired to steal a large sum of money from a bank vault, successfully completes the heist thanks to their clear roles and division of labor. However, they soon realize they have been betrayed by their client and are caught in a trap. To escape and uncover the mastermind behind the betrayal, they devise a plan to return the stolen money to the vault. The gang's leader, Po-Chun, along with an old lover he unexpectedly encounters, embarks on this extraordinary mission.
Following the classic formula of a caper movie, this film guarantees the fundamental pleasures of the heist genre. It cleverly incorporates a reverse heist as its premise, offering a fresh twist that contrasts with genre conventions. The blend of comedy and romance interspersed throughout the film adds to its multifaceted appeal. Audiences will also enjoy the performances of popular Taiwanese actors such as CHEN Bo-Lin and Kent TSAI. (Martin LEE)
