Mit, who lost his wife in an accident, is tormented by guilt for not being able to save her. Working as an engineer for a Japanese company, Mit gets promoted and moves with his daughter to a Muslim residential area on the outskirts of Bangkok. The large house provided for their temporary stay is dilapidated and exudes an eerie atmosphere. Ignoring warnings, Mit removes the talismans placed around the house, leading to ominous events and the eventual awakening of an evil spirit that had been sealed for over 200 years. Tormented by nightmares and visions, Mit ventures deep into the southern mountains of Thailand seeking help, uncovering the long-held truths of the old house and the region. The film captures the strengths and appeal of Thai horror cinema while boldly addressing the historically overlooked relationship with the Malay community, particularly the social and cultural ties with the Muslim community, as the source of the malevolent spirit. The film's completion is elevated by the participation of Nonzee NIMIBUTR, a director representing Thai cinema, as the producer, and Kong RITHDEE, a renowned critic, as the co-writer. (KIM Young-woo)
