On the night Halloween begins, five friends are invited to the Liseberg amusement park. It’s a preview event where they can enjoy the park with no one else around. The only staff member present is Fiona. Fiona and the five friends meet at the park entrance and are taken aback. They had attended a party together a year ago, but drifted apart due to an incident that occurred that night. Just as they begin to wonder why they have been brought together again, the eerie atmosphere of the amusement park at midnight turns into terrifying horror when a mysterious stranger appears. Amid the blood-splattered horror, the film intricately weaves a web of suspense by gradually peeling back the layers like an onion, revealing the truth of that night and the subtle differences in the protagonists' relationships. From ‘which character is sacrificed in what order’ to ‘who survives,’ the film displays cleverness in subverting the rules of typical horror movies with similar setups. (Rhana JANG)
