Synopsis

Made by Park Ji-wan, director of The Day I Died: Unclosed Case (2019), High School Girls is a short film with a peculiar view on and the characteristics of beautiful moments and identity. Girls appear as letters, school uniforms and anonymity, which ironically emphasizes the individuals’ presence and identities. Ryu Hye-young, who plays one of the girls, and director Jang Kun Jae, who plays the practice teacher, will delight the viewer. (MO Eun-young)

Diretor

PARK Ji Wan

Park Ji-wan, born in 1981, majored in visual communication at Ehwa University and graduated from Korean Academy of Film Arts. In 2006, she directed her first short film, Pillow Talk. Her second short, High School Girls(2008), won Best Asian Short at the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival. Her feature debut, The Day I Died: Unclosed Case, starring Kim Hye-soo and Lee Jung-eun, won the Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Screenplay – Film.
