Synopsis
This 10th documentary-feature by cinephile-cineaste Alexandre O. Philippe presents a film essay on David Lynch’s love of The Wizard of Oz (1939). Lynch’s remarkable films are explored in six chapters by commentators ranging from a film critic to filmmakers of diverse background, with all delivering a unified message: the undisputed parallelism with the 1939 classic do exist. Testimonials from these commentators, including John Waters, Benson & Moorhead, Karyn Kusama and more, are juxtaposed with film clips, behind-the-scene interviews and other archival footages, to present a compelling argument that another viewings of Lynch’s films are warranted.
