Synopsis

The film starts with the sudden death of a male. The cause, seemingly gas poisoning, but the veteran detective questions the reason to this untimely death. With a structure that suggests the influence of CITIZEN KANE, this film is an interesting text which presents an of ttnterpretation of the Korean intellectual/artist culture caught in the age of modernity. In spite of its effort to establish itself as an alternative cinema, this film unsuccessfully presents an ambiguity that stands between comme ial thrillers and Western/Japanese Modernist auteurfilms of the 60s.
