Synopsis

This film is base on an old fable where a thousand year old fox has nin tails. The film is set during the Shinra Dynasty where a widowed Queen desires a general named Wol-rang Kim, but the only problem is that he is already married, One day a war breaks out, and General Kim leaves his wife Yu Hwa and prepares for battle. While he is away fighting the war, the Queen plans a devious scheme. One night when the General returns, the Queen seduces him and they spend an evening together. During that night, the Queen banishes Yu-ha and child which her husband has never seen. As she travels in the forest with her child, a group of robbers attack them and try to rape her, Fortunately, she is able to escape, but her child is killed by one of the thieves. As sh frantically flees from the scene, she slips and falls into a river. But before she drowns, an evil spirit take over body and she lives. This kingdom a long time ago. An old King killed the fox and buried the bones in the same river which Yu-hwa fell in. By day she is a human , and by night she turns into the fox. The fox wants to take revenge on the old King, but instead tries to kill the Queen

Shin Sang-Ok

Sang-Ok Shin is considered on of the vest fimmakers in Korea. He was born in Korea, and has been working on film projects in the U.S. He graduated from Tokyo Art School in 1944, and has been working as a director, producer, and actor since the 1960s. He won many awards, such a Best Screenplay and Best Art Direction, in various film festivals. Some of his well-known films include CONFESSION OF A FEMALE STUDENT, THE STORY OF CHOONHYANG, CHONNYONHO, AND YIJOYOIN CHANHOKSA.
