Synopsis

It is difficult to pass the popularity of the 60s comedies when Korean cinema was at its peak. The various episodes that occur around Kim Hee-Jap, Hwang Chung-Soon and their unmarried four sons are the main storyline of the film, OBUJA presents a collage of the 60s whereby modernization is the primary concern.
It the theme song depicts a sense of hope and development promoted by the government*”the red sun rising over Seoul and fortune heading toward every open door”), a mixture of the East and West(a tale topped with both Korean and Western food, traditional costume clad people dancing the twist) represent the desire for Western culture which was considered the symbol of the 60s may have laughed at this comic play, but for those of this decade, this film paints an accurate picture of the past

Diretor

KWON Chul-hwi

Born in 1923 in Kyung SangBuk-Do, he was a commercially acclaimed director from the late 60s to the early 80s. His works include: WOLHWA-UI-KONGDONG MYOJI(1967) and KWAGAEK(1971).
