Synopsis

This large scale production presents a cast, set and costumes that are quite surprising for the Korean film industry of the 60s. Following the footsteps of Buddha, th film presents an interesting of color which must nave been an eye opener for the audience who have been used to moving picture in black and white.

Chang Il-Ho

Chang Il-Ho was worn in Seoul in 1926, and graduated with a degree in Korean literature. Since he made his directorial debut in 1958, he’s been making films until the 1980s. He created Korean film classics, such as Namjung Il-gi, Sukgamoni(1962), and Samgumgak(1965).
